The Fujifilm Classic Chrome simulation mode lives up to expectations and delivers soulful images

Ever since I heard that Fujifilm was releasing the classic chrome film simulation mode in the firmware update, I had been eagerly anticipating it. Needless to say, I installed the firmware update on my X-T1 as soon as it was released in December 2014. Since then, classic chrome has become my default shooting mode. I just love the way it renders blue, green and magenta, and the less saturated look makes it ideal for documentary photography, but it is capable of so much more than that. After 2 months of shooting exclusively in this mode, it has proven to be very versatile and competent in most situations. I love how it brings a touch of soulfulness to the images, and other than shooting in monochrome occasionally, I honestly can't see myself going back to Provia or Velvia. The classic Chrome will be my go-to film mode on my X-T1.  Kudos to Fujifilm for keeping things fresh and giving the photographers what they want. I hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for stopping by! Below are a few images taken in the past 2 months in Classic Chrome mode.
